主体参与式初中英语教学探究的中期报告Abstract:Thismidtermreportisanexplorationofimplementingastudent-centeredapproachinmiddleschoolEnglishteachinginChina.ThereportanalyzesthecurrentsituationofEnglishteachinginChina,discussestheconceptofstudent-centeredteaching,andproposesstrategiesforimplementingthisapproachinmiddleschoolEnglishteaching.IntroductionWiththeincreasingemphasisontheimportanceofEnglishlearninginChina,thetraditionalteacher-centeredapproachtoEnglishteachingisfacingchallenges.ManyEnglishteachersinmiddleschoolsarebeginningtorealizethatitistimetochangethewayofteaching.Student-centeredteachingisanapproachthathasbeenwidelydiscussedinrecentyears,andmanyteachershavesuccessfullyadoptedthisapproachintheirclassrooms.Therefore,thisreportaimstoexploretheimplementationofastudent-centeredapproachinmiddleschoolEnglishteachinginChina.I.TheCurrentSituationofEnglishTeachinginChinaEnglishhasbecomeacompulsorysubjectinChina'seducationsystem.ItisgenerallybelievedthatEnglishproficiencyiscriticalforstudents'futuredevelopmentandthatEnglishproficiencyisacompetitiveadvantageinthejobmarket.However,thecurrentsituationofEnglishteachinginChinahassomeproblems:1.Thefocusisonvocabularyandgrammar.Englishteachingisoftenfocusedonvocabularyandgrammar,andstudentsarerequiredtomemorizealargeamountofvocabularyandgrammarrules.2.Teacher-centeredapproach.TraditionalEnglishteachinginChinaismainlyteacher-centered,withteachersteachingknowledgeandskills,andstudentslisteningandtakingnotes.3.Lackofmotivation.StudentsoftenlackinterestinlearningEnglishandarenotmotivatedtolearn.II.TheConceptofStudent-CenteredTeachingStudent-centeredteachingisanapproachthatprioritizesthestudents'needsandinterestsinteachingandlearning.Thisapproachaimstocreateasupportivelearningenvironmentinwhichstudentsareencouragedtobeactiveparticipantsintheirlearning,ratherthanjustpassivereceiversofinformation.Student-centeredteachingisbasedonthefollowingprinciples:1.Learningisanactiveprocess.Studentslearnbestwhentheyareactivelyinvolvedinthelearningp
