高职英语教学中研究性阅读的实验的综述报告AbstractResearch-orientedreadinghasbecomeanincreasinglyimportantteachingapproachinvocationalEnglisheducation.Thispaperreviewedseveralexperimentsrelatingtoresearch-orientedreadinginvocationalEnglishteaching,coveringthepurposesofresearch-orientedreading,thecharacteristicsofresearch-orientedreading,themethodsofresearch-orientedreading,andtheeffectsofresearch-orientedreadingonstudents’Englishproficiency.Theresultsindicatedthattheresearch-orientedreadinghasmanypotentialbenefitsforimprovingstudents’Englishproficiency,includingenhancingstudents’Englishreadingcomprehensionability,expandingtheirknowledgeofacademicEnglish,andpromotingtheircriticalthinkingability.However,theimplementationofresearch-orientedreadinginvocationalEnglishclassroomsisstillfacingmanychallenges,suchasalackofsuitableteachingmaterialsandthelowreadingabilityofsomestudents.Theauthorsproposedsomerecommendationsforfutureresearchinthisfield.Keywords:vocationalEnglish,research-orientedreading,Englishproficiency,teachingapproach,experimentIntroductionWiththeincreasingemphasisontheintegrationofeducationandthedemandsofthemodernsociety,theteachingofvocationalEnglishhasbeenattachedgreatimportanceinChina.AsacriticalcomponentofvocationalEnglisheducation,readingabilityhasalwaysbeenconsideredasoneofthecorecompetenciestobedeveloped(Wuetal.,2017).However,thetraditionalteachingmodelofreadinglackseffectivenessandmaynotmeettheneedsofvocationalEnglishlearnersintheeraofglobalization.Therefore,itisessentialtoexploreandimplementinnovativeteachingapproachesthatsuittheirneeds.Oneoftheseisresearch-orientedreading.Research-orientedreadingisateachingmethodthatemphasizestheexplorationandpracticeofreadingskillsandstrategiesinthecontextofresearchactivities(Wang,2015).Throughtheprocessofreading,studentscannotonlyobtainknowledgeandskillsthatcanbeusedtosolvepracticalproblems,butalsoimprovetheirEnglishproficiencyingeneral.Research-orientedreadingisbecomingincreasinglypopularandhasbeenwidelyusedinvocationalEnglisht
