喀什地区民族中学英语教学现状及发展对策研究的中期报告AbstractThecurrentsituationanddevelopmentofEnglishteachinginethnichighschoolsinKashgarregionhavebeenpaidmoreandmoreattentionbytheeducationalcommunityinrecentyears.Inthisstudy,thecurrentsituationofEnglishteachinginethnichighschoolsinKashgarregionwasinvestigatedandanalyzed.Basedontheanalysis,somepossibledevelopmentstrategieswereproposed.Thisreportpresentstheresultsofthestudyandtheproposedstrategies.IntroductionKashgarregionisalargeethnicregioninXinjiangprovince,China.ItislocatedinthewesternpartofChinaandhasadiversepopulationwithvariousethnicities.Inrecentyears,EnglisheducationhasbeenemphasizedinChina,andithasbecomeanessentialskillformanystudents.InKashgarregion,therearemanyethnichighschoolswithEnglishcourses,butcomparedwithotherregionsinChina,theystillfacemanychallengesinEnglishteaching.Therefore,itisessentialtoinvestigateandanalyzethecurrentsituationofEnglishteachinginethnichighschoolsinKashgarregionandproposesomedevelopmentstrategies.MethodologyThisstudyusesamixofqualitativeandquantitativeresearchmethodstoinvestigatethecurrentsituationofEnglishteachinginethnichighschoolsinKashgarregion.Theprimaryresearchmethodsincludequestionnairesandinterviews.TheparticipantsinthisstudyareEnglishteachersandstudentsinethnichighschoolsinKashgarregion.Thequestionnaireisdesignedtocollectinformationonthecurriculum,teachingmaterials,teachingmethods,andtheproblemsencounteredinEnglishteaching.InterviewsareconductedwithEnglishteacherstogainamorein-depthunderstandingofthecurrentsituationofEnglishteaching.ResultsTheanalysisofthequestionnaireshowsthatEnglishteachinginethnichighschoolsinKashgarregionhasmadesomeprogress,buttherearestillsomeproblems.Thefollowingarethemainfindings:1.Curriculum:EnglishcurriculuminethnichighschoolsinKashgarregiongenerallyfollowsthenationalcurriculum,butteacherslacktheflexibilitytoadjustthecurriculumtotheneedsofstudentsandlocalconditions.2.Teachingmaterials:TheteachingmaterialsusedinEnglishclassesinethnichighschoolsinKashgarregion
