语境理论在初中英语词汇教学中的运用研究的中期报告Abstract:ThepurposeofthisstudyistoexploretheapplicationofcontextualtheoryinthevocabularyteachingofjuniorhighschoolEnglish.Byanalyzingtheexistingresearchresults,wefindthattheapplicationofcontextualtheoryinvocabularyteachingcaneffectivelypromotestudents'vocabularyacquisitionandenhancetheirlanguageproficiency.Inaddition,wealsoputforwardsomerecommendationsfortheapplicationofcontextualtheoryinvocabularyteaching,suchasselectingappropriatematerials,creatingauthenticandmeaningfulcontexts,providingsufficientexposuretotargetwordsandencouragingactiveuseofwords.Introduction:VocabularyteachingisanimportantpartofEnglishteachinginjuniorhighschool,whichdirectlyaffectsstudents'languagelearningandcommunicationskills.Inrecentyears,contextualtheoryhasbeenwidelyusedinthefieldofvocabularyteaching,whichemphasizesthatlanguageislearnedandusedinacontext-dependentway.Basedonthistheory,contextualvocabularyteachingaimstoprovidestudentswithauthenticandmeaningfulcontextstofacilitatetheirvocabularyacquisitionandretention.Therefore,thisstudyintendstoexploretheapplicationofcontextualtheoryinvocabularyteachinganditseffectivenessinjuniorhighschoolEnglishteaching.LiteratureReview:Contextualtheory,whichemphasizestheimportanceofcontextinlanguagelearninganduse,hasbeenappliedinvariousfieldsoflanguageteaching,includingvocabularyteaching.Inthefieldofvocabularyteaching,contextualtheoryismainlyreflectedinthefollowingaspects:1.Vocabularyselection:selectingvocabularyitemsthatarecloselyrelatedtothestudents'lifeexperienceandlanguagecontext.2.Contextcreation:creatingauthenticandmeaningfulcontextstohelpstudentsunderstandandusenewwords.3.Exposuretotargetwords:providingsufficientexposuretothetargetwordsinvariouscontextstofacilitatevocabularyacquisitionandretention.4.Activeuseofwords:encouragingstudentstousenewwordsinmeaningfulcommunicationtoimprovetheirlanguageproficiency.ResearchMethod:Thisstudyadoptsaliteraturereviewmethodtoanalyzetheexistingresearchresultsontheapplicationofcontex
