高等农业院校本科生英语学习兴趣研究——以华中农业大学为例的综述报告IntroductionAsChina’sagriculturalindustrycontinuestodevelop,thedemandforskilledagriculturalprofessionalshasbeenontherise.Tomeetthisdemand,higheragriculturalcollegesanduniversitieshaveemergedthroughoutChinatoprovideagriculturalstudentswiththenecessaryskillsandknowledgetosucceedinthisrapidlydevelopingfield.AmongtheseinstitutionsisHuazhongAgriculturalUniversity,whichisoneoftheleadingfarmingcollegesinChina.However,whileHuazhongAgriculturalUniversityisknownforitsrigorousacademiccurriculum,includingastrongemphasisonEnglishlanguageproficiency,itisequallyessentialtoexaminethestudents'interestinlearningEnglish.Inthisreport,wewillexploretheimportanceofstudyingtheEnglishlanguage,thefactorsthatinfluencestudents’interestinEnglish,andwhatcanbedonetoimproveEnglishlearninginHuazhongAgriculturalUniversityasacasestudy.TheImportanceofEnglishLanguageLearningEnglishistheprimarylanguageusedinscience,technology,andacademiaworldwide.Itisalsotheprimarylanguageininternationaltrade,makingitavitaltoolforglobalcommunication.Asaresult,anunderstandingofEnglishisessentialforthosepursuingacareerinaglobaleconomy,particularlyintheagriculturalindustry.InthecaseofChina,Englishskillshavebecomeincreasinglyimportantasthecountry’sroleintheglobaleconomyhasexpanded.AgrowingnumberofChinesebusinessespartnerwithinternationalorganizationsandcollaboratewithforeignfirms,makingEnglishproficiencycrucialforsuccess.FactorsInfluencingInterestinEnglishLearningSeveralfactorsinfluencestudents'interestinlearningEnglish.OneoftheprincipalfactorsistheperceivedimportanceofEnglishproficiencyintheirchosenprofession.IfastudentbelievesthatEnglishproficiencyiscrucialtotheirfield,theyaremorelikelytoinvestsignificanttimeandeffortintolearningthelanguage.AnotherkeyfactoristhequalityofEnglishlanguagelearningresourcesavailable.Theseincludetextbooks,classroominstruction,languagesoftware,andinternetresources.Students'motivationtolearnEnglishmaybemeaningfullyinfluencedbythequalityoftheseresources.I
