高中生英语自主学习中存在的主要问题及对策研究的开题报告IntroductionWiththerapiddevelopmentofglobalization,Englishhasbecomeagloballanguageandavitaltoolforcommunicationinvariousfields.Therefore,masteringEnglishisessentialforhighschoolstudents,whoarethebackboneofthenation'sfuture.However,traditionalclassroomteachingoftenfailstomeetthediverseneedsandinterestsofdifferentstudents.Consequently,theself-directedlearningofEnglishhasbecomeincreasinglypopularamonghighschoolstudents.However,therearestillsignificantproblemstoovercomeintheprocessofself-directedEnglishlearning.ObjectivesThemainobjectivesofthisresearchprojectaretoidentifythemajorproblemsencounteredbyhighschoolstudentsintheirself-directedEnglishlearningandtoproposeeffectivestrategiestoaddresstheseissues.Thestudyaimstoprovidepracticalguidanceforteachers,parents,andstudentstoimprovethequalityofEnglisheducation.MethodologyTheresearchwillemployamixed-methodsapproachtocollectdata.Asurveywillbeconductedtoassessthecurrentstatusofself-directedEnglishlearningamonghighschoolstudents.Aquestionnairewillbedesignedtogatherinformationonstudents'motivation,learningstrategies,resources,difficulties,andeffectivenessofEnglishlearning.Semi-structuredinterviewsandfocusgroupdiscussionswillbeconductedtoobtainmorein-depthdataonspecificissuesidentifiedfromthesurvey.Thestudywillinvolveasampleof200highschoolstudentsfromdifferentregions,schools,andbackgroundsinChina.ExpectedOutcomesThestudyisexpectedtorevealthemajorchallengesfacedbyhighschoolstudentsintheirself-directedEnglishlearning,includinglackofmotivation,ineffectivelearningstrategies,limitedaccesstoresources,lowself-efficacy,andinsufficientsupportandguidance.Basedonthedatacollected,severalstrategieswillbeproposedtosupportstudents'self-directedEnglishlearning,includingenhancingmotivation,developingappropriatelearningstrategies,providingdiverseresources,promotingself-efficacy,andbuildingasupportivelearningenvironment.ConclusionThisresearchprojectissignificantinprovidinginsightsintothecurrentstatusofself-dire
