顺应论视角下时政新闻英译研究——以《中国日报》和《新华网》时政新闻为例的开题报告IntroductionNewstranslation,asoneoftheessentialformsoflanguagemediation,playsasignificantroleinpromotinginternationalcommunication,culturalexchange,andsocialprogress.Politicalnews,asacrucialpartofmodernmassmedia,isanimportantmeanstounderstandtheworld'spoliticallandscape,topromotenationalinterests,andtoenhancenationalimages.Moreover,politicalnewstranslationisnotonlyasimplelinguistictaskbutalsoadynamicprocessthatrequiresunderstandingculturalbackgrounds,politicalsystems,andsocialnormsofdifferentcountries.Therefore,fromtheperspectiveoffunctionalismandaccommodationtheory,thisstudyaimstoexplorethetranslationstrategiesandfeaturesofpoliticalnewsinChinaDailyandXinhuaNewsAgency,providinginsightsintohowtoeffectivelytransferthemessagesofChinesepoliticstotheworld.LiteratureReviewNewstranslation,asacomplexandcross-culturalprocess,hasbeenwidelystudiedbyscholarsintranslation,communication,andmediastudies.AccordingtoPym(2006),newstranslationisnotonlyasimplelinguistictaskbutalsoacultural,social,andpoliticalpractice.Itinvolvesvariousdimensions,suchasinformationselection,newsvalues,style,politicalideology,andaudienceexpectations.Inaddition,newstranslationisaffectedbyspecificsocietalcontexts,asnewsmediaiscloselyassociatedwiththepower,interests,andideologyofthestateandthepublic(Luo,2007).Inthisregard,thepoliticalnewsinChinaDailyandXinhuaNewsAgency,astwoofthemostinfluentialmediaoutletsinChina,offersvaluableexamplesofhownewstranslationcanreflectandinfluencepoliticalagendaanddiscourse.Functionalismandaccommodationtheory,astwosignificanttheoriesintranslationstudies,helptounderstandthenatureandpurposeofnewstranslation.AccordingtoNord(2014),functionalismemphasizestheimportanceofthetargetcultureandreadership,aimingtofacilitatetheirunderstandingandacceptanceofthesourcetext.Intermsofnewstranslation,functionalismregardsnewsasameansofinternationalcommunication,thusrequiringeffectivemediationbetweenthesourceandtargetcultures.Accommodationtheory,ontheother
