顺应论视角下旅游资料英译研究——以临沂地区旅游景点介绍文本为例的中期报告ResearchontheEnglishTranslationofTourismDatafromthePerspectiveofAdaptationTheory:ACaseStudyofTextsIntroducingTouristAttractionsinLinyiAbstract:Withthedevelopmentofglobaltourism,thedemandforEnglishtranslationoftourismdatahasincreased.ThisstudytakestheintroductiontextsoftouristattractionsinLinyiastheresearchobject,andanalyzesthetranslationstrategiesfromtheperspectiveofadaptationtheory.Throughacomprehensiveinvestigation,wefindthatthetranslatedtextsshouldconformtothelocalcustoms,geography,andcultureofthetargetaudiencewhenintroducingtouristattractions.Thestrategiesofsimplification,substitution,andadditionarecommonlyusedinthetranslationprocess,whichcanbetteradapttothetargetaudienceandimprovetheeffectivenessofcommunication.Keywords:adaptationtheory;tourismdata;Englishtranslation;LinyiIntroductionAsoneofthefastest-growingandmostimportantindustriesintheworld,tourismplaysakeyroleinpromotingeconomicdevelopmentandculturalexchange.Withthecontinuousexpansionoftheglobalizationtrend,thedemandforEnglishtranslationoftourismdatahasbeengrowingrapidly.Tourismdatareferstovariousformsofinformationsuchastouristattractions,scenicspots,andtourismproducts,whichhavebeenwidelydisseminatedthroughvariouschannels.ThequalityoftheEnglishtranslationoftourismdatadirectlyaffectstheeffectivenessofcommunicationbetweendifferentcultures,therefore,itisofgreatsignificancetoimprovethetranslationqualityoftourismdata.Inrecentyears,thestudyoftourismtranslationhasattractedincreasingattention.Scholarshaveexploredthecharacteristics,functions,andtranslationstrategiesoftourismtextsthroughvariousperspectivesandmethods.Somescholarsfocusontheculturaldifferences,languagefeatures,andaudienceawareness,andanalyzetheimpactofthesefactorsontranslationstrategies.However,fewstudieshavebeenconductedfromtheperspectiveofadaptationtheory.Asoneofthecoretheoriesoftranslationstudies,adaptationtheoryemphasizestheimportanceofadaptingtothetargetaudience,culture,andsociety.Thistheoryhasbeenwidelyus
