OntheFactorsAffectingEffectiveEnglishTeachinginVocationalCollegesAbstract：Basedonthepreviousresearches，thisthesisexploresthepresentsituationofeffectiveEnglishteachinginGUETVocationalCollege，bytakingstudentsfromgrade2015asstudyobjects，andfocusingonfactorsofstudents，Englishteachers，textbooks，andevaluationsystem，thenpointsouttheexistingproblemsandanalyzesthereasonsbasedontheresultsofthequestionnaires，andfinallyputsforwardsomepracticalsolutions，tryingtooffersomesuggestionsforeffectiveEnglishteachinginthecollege.Keywords：HigherVocationalCollege；effectiveteaching；collegeEnglishteachingIntroductionWiththedevelopmentofthesocialeconomy，andtheindustrialtransformationanddevelopmentofGuangxiBeibu-GulfEconomicZone，industriesarenowmakinghigherrequirementsforthecomprehensivequalityofthetalents.Englishisanimportantapproachortoolforthesehighlyskilledtalentsenablingthemtoreceivenewtechnicalinformationfromthewholeworld.CurrentEnglishteachinginGUETVocationalCollegeGUETVocationalCollege，whichissupportedbyGuilinUniversityofElectronicTechnology，isaninfluentialcollegeofGuangxiBeibu-GulfEconomicZone.Whereas，researchfromemploymentfeedbackinthepasttwoyearsrevealsthatthegraduatesfromourcollegehavealotofdifficultiesinusingEnglishonadailyworkingbasis.AsanEnglishteacherinGUETVocationalCollege，theauthornoticedtherearemanyproblemsinEnglishteachinginthecollege.1）WhatarethelearningandteachingsituationsinGUETVocationalCollege？Whatarethemajorproblems？2）Whatarethemajorreasonsinthepresentsituation？3）InwhatwaycouldEnglishteachinginthecollegebecomemoreeffective？Inordertofindoutthecurrentteachingsituationinthecollege，theauthordesignedaquestionnaire.Inordertoensurethedataobtainedrepresentative，theauthorcarriedoutaquestionnairesurveyonEnglishteachingamong200non-Englishmajorstudentsfromdifferentmajors.Fromthesurvey，whenaskedaboutthesatisfactionabouttheirEnglishteachers，only1percentofstudentsdonotfeelsatisfiedwiththeEnglishteacher’spersonality.36.5percentofthestudentsfeelsatisfiedwiththeE
