1.自由钟TheLibertyBell,locatedinPhiladelphia,Pennsylvania,isanAmericanbellofgreathistoricsignificance.TheLibertyBellisperhapsoneofthemostprominentsymbolsassociatedwithearlyAmericanhistoryandthebattleforAmericanindependenceandfreedom.Itsmostfamousringing,onJuly8,1776,summonedcitizensforthereadingoftheDeclarationofIndependencebytheSecondContinentalCongress.Previously,ithadbeenrungtoannouncetheopeningoftheFirstContinentalCongress,in1774,andtheBattleofLexingtonandConcord,in1775.Thebellwasnotofficiallyknownasthe"LibertyBell"until1837,whenitbecameasymboloftheabolitionistmovement.ItscastinscriptionfromLeviticus25:10states,"ProclaimLibertythroughoutallthelanduntoalltheinhabitantsthereof."TheLibertyBellisoneofthemostfamiliarsymbolsofindependenceandnationhoodwithintheUnitedStates,secondonlytotheStatueofLiberty;strangelyperhaps,givenitswidespreadusewithinthecountry,theLibertyBellishardlyrecognizedoutsideoftheUS,andfarlesswellknownasasymbolofAmericathaneithertheStatueofLibertyortheStarsandStripes.2.自由女神theStatueofLibertyLibertyEnlighteningtheWorld,knownmorecommonlyastheStatueofLiberty,isastatuegiventotheUnitedStatesbyFrancein1885,standingatLibertyIslandinthemouthoftheHudsonRiverinNewYorkHarborasawelcometoallvisitors,immigrants,andreturningAmericans.Thecopperstatue,dedicatedonOctober28,1886,commemoratesthecentennialoftheUnitedStatesandisagestureoffriendshipbetweenthetwonations.ThesculptorwasFredericAugusteBartholdi.GustaveEiffel,thedesigneroftheEiffelTower,engineeredtheinternalstructure.EugèneViollet-le-Ducwasresponsibleforthechoiceofcopperinthestatue'sconstructionandadoptionoftheRepoussétechnique.TheStatueofLibertyisoneofthemostrecognizableiconsoftheU.S.worldwide,[1]and,inamoregeneralsense,representslibertyandescapefromoppression.TheStatueofLibertywas,from1886untiltheJetage,oftenthefirstglimpseoftheUnitedStatesformillionsofimmigrantsafteroceanvoyagesfromEurope.It'ssaidthatilSancarloneortheColossusofRhodesinspiredit.3.华盛顿碑TheWashingtonMonumentTheWashingtonMonumentusuallyrefers
