TranslationofNewsReportandtheSkopostheory【Abstract】Withtherapidspreadofnewsintheworld,thenewstranslationinevitablyplaysanimportantroleinhumanlife.ThispaperaimsatdiscussingtheSkopostheorywidelyusedinthenewstranslation,whichwidenspeople’straditionaleyescopeontranslationmethodsandbringsthedebateontranslationstandardstoahighlevel.【KeyWords】Skopostheory;translationofnews;Neologisms;journalisticWiththerapiddevelopmentofmodernscienceandtechnology,newswhichservesasoneofthemostimportantmasscommunications,isgettingmoreandmorecloselyrelatedtohumanlife.EverydaywewatchTVandwecanseeallkindsofnewsonit.Sothenewstranslationinevitablyplaysanimportantroleininformationcommunications.1.IntroductiontotheSkoposTheoryTheSkopostheoryisanapproachtotranslationwhichwasputforwardbyHansVemeeranddevelopedinGermanyinthelate1970sandwhichorientedamorefunctionallyandsocioculturallyconceptoftranslation.Translationisconsiderednotasaprocessoftranslation,butasaspecificformofhumanaction.Inourmind,translationhasapurpose,andtheword“Skopos”wasfromGreek.It’susedasthetechnicaltermforthepurposeofthetranslation.Intheframeworkofthistheory,oneofthemostimportantfactorsdeterminingthepurposeofatranslationistheaddress,whoistheintendedreceiveroraudienceofthetargettextwiththeirworldlanguage.Everytranslationisdirectedatanintendedaudience.Thetheoryfocusesaboveallonthepurposeofthetranslation,whichdeterminesthetranslationmethodsandstrategiesthataretobeemployedinordertoproduceafunctionallyadequateresult.Vermeerregardsitasan“offerofinformation”thatispartlyorwhollyturnedintoan“offerofinformation”forthetargetaudience.Fromthisview,thestatusofthesourceisclearlymuchlowerinSkopostheorythantheequivalencetheory.2.AStudyontheSkoposTheoryintheNewsTranslation2.1PurposefulTranslationofNeologismsNeologismsarenewlycoinedwordsorwordsthataregivennewmeaningtofitnewsituationbecauseofsocialscientificandtechnicalchangesinhumansociety.TheNeologismstranslationaboutthenewscontentshouldbenew.Thetranslationofneologismscanclearpeoples’mindsor
