TheIndustrialClassificationforNationalEconomicActivities(CSIC,Rev.2002)wasrevisedundertheleadershipoftheNationalBureauofStatisticsofPRCandorganizedbytherelativedepartmentsofStateCouncil.IthasbeenpromulgatedandimplementedonMay,102002.1.BriefintroductiontotheexistedindustrialclassificationinChinaCSICRev.2002wasrevisedonthebasisoftheclassificationstandardin1994(CSICRev.1994).ThetotalnumberofthecategoriesineachfourlevelsofthenewclassificationhasbeenincreasedOntheonehand,thenewclassificationofversion2002especiallyfocusedontheclassificationofserviceFromsectionEtosectionTOntheotherhand,wemakethecategoriesgreatlyreducedinthesectionMiningandManufactureThefinalrevision2.TheimprovementofcorrespondingmethodbetweenthenewclassificationandtheoldInCSICrevision2002,wehavechangedtheoldmethodNotonlylistingachangingprocessfortheeachcategorywithwrittenexplanationTherearethreekindsofcorrespondingrelations:NBShasalsodevelopedtwokindofsoftware3.ThemethodandexperienceforconversionofdataforChina’sBasicUnitDatabaseTheGovernmentStatisticalSystemofChinaThedifferentconditionforstatisticsfoundationinvariousprovincesThedifferentconversionmethodineachprovincealsoThereareprimarilytwokindsofmethodsOnewayMostprovinceshaveadoptedthiskindofdataconversionmethodtoadjusttheunitdatabaseThenumberofindustryclassesofthe2002version376industryclassescan(one-to-one)bedirectlyconvertedTheremainingindustryclasses(around1/3one-to-multiple)ThecensusdatashowAnotherwayIncomparisonthetwomethodseachhavetheiradvantagesanddisadvantages.ThisshowsThisshowsOnepointisimportantNotonlyconformstotheChina’srealityofdecentralizedstatisticalsystem(provincehastheirowndatabase)
