论英语专业学生对外教口语课课堂活动的期望和感知的开题报告【Abstract】ThispaperaimstoinvestigatetheexpectationsandperceptionsofEnglishmajorstowardsclassroomactivitiesinoralEnglishclassesdeliveredbyforeignteachers.Thestudyemploysbothquantitativeandqualitativemethodsbyconductingasurveyandfollow-upinterviewswithEnglishmajorsfromaChineseUniversity.ThefindingssuggestthatEnglishmajorsexpectinteractiveandcommunicativeactivities,sufficientopportunitiestopracticeEnglishspeaking,constructivefeedback,andtheuseofmultimediaresourcesinclassroomactivities.However,studentsfeelthatclassroomactivitiesaresometimesrepetitive,lackvariety,anddonotalignwiththeirneedsandinterests.ThestudyconcludeswithsomeimplicationsforimprovingtheeffectivenessofclassroomactivitiesinoralEnglishclassesdeliveredbyforeignteachers.【Introduction】OralEnglishclassesareanessentialcomponentofEnglishmajors'curriculum.Astheworldbecomesincreasinglyglobalized,EnglishspeakingskillshavebecomemoreimportantforEnglishmajors,especiallyforthosewhowishtoworkininternationalcompaniesorpursuefurtherstudiesabroad.Withtheriseofstudyabroadprogramsandculturalexchangeprojects,manyuniversitieshavestartedtoinviteforeignteacherstodeliveroralEnglishclassestostudents.However,theeffectivenessoftheseclasseslargelydependsonthequalityofclassroomactivities.Therefore,understandingtheexpectationsandperceptionsofEnglishmajorstowardsclassroomactivitiesinoralEnglishclassesdeliveredbyforeignteachersisvital.【LiteratureReview】PreviousstudieshaveshownthatthesuccessoforalEnglishclassesdependsontheuseofvariousclassroomactivities.Forexample,Gahala(2001)arguesthatacommunicativeapproachtoteachingEnglishspeakingisessentialbecauseitfocusesonmeaningfulcommunicationratherthanlinguisticaccuracy.Similarly,NunanandLamb(1996)suggestthatinteractiveactivitiessuchasdiscussionsandrole-playscanprovidestudentswithopportunitiestopracticeEnglishspeaking.Furthermore,usingmultimediaresourcescanenhancestudents'learningexperienceandengagetheminthelearningprocess(Chen&Wang,2011).【Methodology】Thisstudyemplo
