中国古典医籍名称英译研究的中期报告Mid-termReportonEnglishTranslationofNamesofClassicalChineseMedicalLiteratureIntroduction:ThetranslationofnamesofclassicalChinesemedicalliteratureintoEnglishisanimportantaspectofpromotingChinesemedicineinternationally.Thisreportpresentsamid-termsummaryofourresearchontheEnglishtranslationofthenamesofclassicalChinesemedicalliterature.Methodology:TheresearchteamincludesexpertsinChinesemedicineandlinguistics.WehavecompiledalistofclassicalChinesemedicalliteratureandproposedpreliminarytranslationsoftheirnames.Ourtranslationswerereviewedanddiscussedbytheteamandadjustedaccordingly.Results:Wehavetranslated100namesofclassicalChinesemedicalliterature,includingmajorworksfromtheHandynastytotheQingdynasty.WehavefoundthatsometitlescanbetranslateddirectlywithoutlosingtheirmeaninginEnglish,whileothersrequireamorecreativeapproachtoconveytheiressence.Forexample:《黄帝内经》(Huángdìnèijīng)-YellowEmperor'sInnerCanon《伤寒论》(Shānghánlùn)-TreatiseonColdDamage《金匮要略》(Jīnkuìyàolüè)-EssentialPrescriptionsoftheGoldenCoffer《千金方》(Qiānjīnfāng)-ThousandDucatFormulas《本草纲目》(Běncǎogāngmù)-CompendiumofMateriaMedicaDiscussion:ThetranslationofnamesofclassicalChinesemedicalliteraturerequiresadeepunderstandingofbothChinesemedicineandEnglishlanguage.Translatingwordbywordoftenleadstoinaccurateorconfusingtranslations,whileinterpretingtheessenceofthetitlescanresultinmoreeffectiveandaccuratetranslations.Conclusion:Ourresearchhasprovidedpreliminarytranslationsof100namesofclassicalChinesemedicalliterature.Futureresearchwillfocusonrefiningourtranslationsandexpandingthelisttoincludemoreworks.TheEnglishtranslationsofthenamesofclassicalChinesemedicalliteraturewillhelppromoteChinesemedicineinternationallyandmakeitmoreaccessibletonon-Chinesespeakers.
