高中生英语阅读策略使用现状的调查研究的开题报告IntroductionReadingisanessentialskillinlearningalanguage,anditisparticularlyimportantinEnglishsinceitisagloballanguage.EnglishreadingcomprehensionisoneoftheessentialskillsforanyEnglishlanguagelearner,especiallyforhighschoolstudents.However,manyhighschoolstudentsstrugglewithreadingcomprehension,andthiscanaffecttheiroverallacademicperformance.ThepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatethecurrentuseofreadingstrategiesamonghighschoolstudentsinChinaandtoidentifythefactorsthatinfluencetheiruseofthesestrategies.BackgroundReadingstrategiesarethetechniquesusedbyreaderstoimprovetheircomprehensionofwrittentexts.Thesestrategiesaredividedintotwocategories:cognitiveandmetacognitivestrategies.Cognitivestrategiesarespecifictechniquesusedbyreaderstohelpthemunderstandthemeaningofthetext,whilemetacognitivestrategiesarethehigher-leveltechniquesthatmonitorandregulatethecognitivestrategies.Previousstudieshaveshownthattheuseofreadingstrategiesamongstudentsisinfluencedbyvariousfactors,includingage,gender,priorknowledge,motivationforreading,andreadingproficiency.Forexample,studieshavefoundthathigh-achievingstudentstendtousemorereadingstrategiesthanlow-achievingstudents.ResearchQuestionsThisstudyaimstoanswerthefollowingresearchquestions:1.WhatarethemostcommonlyusedreadingstrategiesamonghighschoolstudentsinChina?2.WhatfactorsinfluencetheuseofreadingstrategiesamonghighschoolstudentsinChina?MethodologyThisstudywilluseamixed-methodsapproach,consistingofasurveyandinterviews.ThesurveywillbeadministeredtoasampleofhighschoolstudentsinChinatocollectquantitativedataontheiruseofreadingstrategies.Thesurveywillalsocollectdemographicdatasuchasage,gender,andacademicperformance.Thequalitativedatawillbecollectedthroughsemi-structuredinterviewswithasmallergroupofstudents.Theinterviewswillexplorethestudents'experiencesofusingreadingstrategies,theirattitudestowardsreading,andthefactorsthatinfluencetheiruseofreadingstrategies.DataAnalysisThedatacollectedfromthesurveywillbeanalyzedus
